Bharat Ratna Pt. Bhimsen Joshi District Theater Inauguration Ceremony

The inauguration ceremony of the Bharat Ratna Pt. Bhimsen Joshi District Auditorium, located in the premises of the District Administration Building, will be held on June 19 at 5:30 PM.

The program, organized in collaboration with the District Administration, District Panchayat, and the Department of Kannada and Culture, will be graced by the presence of the President of the State Legislative Council, Basavaraj Horatti. The event will be inaugurated by the Secretary of Backward Classes and the Department of Kannada and Culture, Shivraj Tangadagi. The program will be chaired by H.K. Patil, the Secretary of Law, Justice, and Human Rights, Parliamentary Affairs, and Tourism Department, as well as the Secretary of Gadaga District Development Authority.

The chief guests of the event include Members of Parliament, Shiva Kumar Udaasi, P.C. Gaddigoudar, and legislators C.C. Patil, G.S. Patil, Dr. Chandra Lamani, and members of the Legislative Council, S.V. Sankanur, Pradeep Shettar, Salim Ahmed, Usha Dasar, and Deputy Chairperson, Sunda Bakkale.

As special guests, renowned flutist Pt. Rakesh Chaurasia, acclaimed tabla player Padma Shri Vijay Ghate, and renowned Hindustani vocalist Padma Shri Pt. Venkatesh Kumar will grace the occasion.

District Collector Vaishali M. L., Chief Executive Officer of the District Panchayat Dr. Sushila B., and Senior Superintendent of Police B.S. Nemagouda, along with Kannada and Culture Department Director Basavaraj Hoogar, will welcome everyone to the inauguration ceremony of the Rang Mandir.

Jugalbandi Program: Following the inauguration ceremony of the Bharat Ratna Pt. Bhimsen Joshi District Auditorium on June 19, a jugalbandi (duet) program featuring renowned flutist Pt. Rakesh Chaurasia and Padma Shri awardee tabla player Vijay Ghate will take place at 6:30 PM.
